Lies, damned lies, and Instagram statistics? The original quote was possibly associated with Mark Twain but nobody is really claiming it. He didn’t know about Instagram of course.
Got your attention? If you are using social media you need to know how well your postings are working and Instagram is no different to any other platform.
Iconosquare for your Instagram Statistics
Native Instagram really does not provide you with the statistics you can use to see how well your posts are working.
But not to worry there is a product called Iconosquare that not only helps you manage your Instagram account but helps you see what is going on by delivering a whole host of Instagram Statistics.
Above shows my home feed via Iconosquare. There is a lot you can do with Iconosquare and this article is just going to give you a taster. You can get a free account and just login using your Instagram account details.
Instagram Statistics – When are you posting?
When do you post, but more importantly when are your fans looking at your stuff?
Watch this short video and it will tell you more.
[youtube_sc url=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1biitPTFSc” title=”Instagram%20Statistics,%20are%20you%20posting%20at%20the%20right%20time?”]
So now you know when your fans are looking at your stuff and you can posts to suit their schedule!
Since it is all about them, you can now change your posting habits to better serve your fans and get more engagement.
Instagram Statistics – How are your posts doing?
Which brings me to the other big subject how are your photo’s doing? Are people liking and commenting on them?
I hope you respond to comments you receive!
Iconosquare helps you with this by providing you with the statistics that brakes this down.
You can see from the above image the top Liked and Commented photos I have posted.
Interestingly, when it comes to comments two of the photo’s I reposted from others were in the top posts.
Make sure you give credit when you repost a photo. I use the Repost app which will automatically add the credit for you.
The video below shows you how you find these Instagram Statistics in Iconsquare.

In my top posts based on number of comments I had Ray Higdon who is an amazing marketer, speaker and training. You can always learn a ton from this guy.
The other was a post from my good friend Nicole Hanchi who is always posting great content, go check out her Instagram feed by clicking her name above.
Over to You
I hope you found this article useful and you too will be able to use Iconosquare to improve your engagement and monitor your success.

Instagram is so cool! But I think you do need to be careful. People often finds things they like using # hashtags. The limit is now 25 i think per post on IG. I am starting to ease away from the platform for promoting things..However I think it will be really good for building an audience.
You are right 25 hashtags. Advertising is coming but like all platforms you need to be careful not to abuse it.
Thanks Andy
Hi Andy,
Great post and information. I still haven’t devoted much time to Instagram. This “old dog” doesn’t seem to be learning this new trick very well. I share a picture here and there and favorite some and re-share but that’s about it for me.
I guess I just haven’t seen the benefit of using it and to be honest my phone is small and I hate working on it too much. Probably if we could share photos from the computer to Instagram, I would pick it up easier.
Thanks for sharing and Have a Great Day.
Thanks Monna, you can run Instagram on a tablet, but no posting from the Web, monitoring, liking and commenting you can do.
Thanks, Andy
Hi Andy,
this are interesting information about instagram,
but I do only have a cellphone for emergency ,which is
not for using instagram and I looked with my tablet
it does not work as well.
But it is good to know about ,I like playing with images .
Thank you
Erika
I use Instagram on my phone and my ipad/Galaxy Tab. Biggest pain is posting to multiple accounts.
Thanks, Andy
Hi Andy,
I haven’t done much on Instagram…yet! I know it is a great place to be but I just can’t get into the groove. But I keep my eye on the process and this post sure helped me.
I don’t want to be out of the loop in the learning curve. From what I know, it is a great place to be. I just need to take action on it. It is one of my to-dos after the Summer.
Keep this information coming because it is so valuable, especially for me!

Your very welcome, I am glad you found it useful.
Thanks, Andy
Hi Andy,
Great information about Instagram and Iconosquare! I haven’t got into Instagram since I really only want to use my cell phone for emergencies. However this is great information for my clients.
Thanks much!
Lillian
Thanks for the comment with the growth and the introduction for advertising, worth watching
Hey Andy, great content and video. I was just researching a few days ago about Instagram statistics. Something worth looking into and optimimizing!!
Hi Andy, I have to say I’ve tried Instagram, but have not kept up with it. I think it’s a great platform, but don’t really understand it as well. The Iconosquare looks like a great app to use to keep up with your statistics. Love the fact that you can track everything with it. Thanks for sharing, Andy.
