Jeff Olson – Best Selling Author and Ripple Maker

Jeff Olson

I have admired Jeff Olson for many years, in fact ever since I first read his book the Slight Edge, his best selling personal development book. which recently had it’s 8th anniversary edition released. To make it better Jeff encourages his organization to give back to the Community through support for Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization and the Nerium Gives Back Program.

Who is Jeff Olson?

Jeff over the last 30 years has helped countless people improve their life through financial and time freedom.  Jeff knows a thing or to about personal development.  He founded the People’s Network which produced over 900 television programs around personal excellence in health, finances, relationships, and more.

Of course Jeff has worked with the greats of personal development but more recently with Shawn Achor who has written two books on why Happiness is such a huge advantage.  You know Happy people are more successful?

Jeff started life in corporate America and since then has worked with a series of sales, marketing, and distribution companies.  He has a record unsurpassed by anybody in the industry for building sales and distribution forces into multimillion dollar organizations from scratch, and the current one he is CEO of.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

It is through his current company that he has focused on the personal development of the Brand Partners, GIVING every one of them, for FREE, a copy of the Slight Edge when they join the organization.  It is within this organization that the Nerium Gives Back Program was created to encourage the teams to give back to their communities.

The other big organization that Jeff himself, his team and his organization are involved with is Big Brother Big Sisters.  His company is currently one of the biggest donors to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization.  Jeff is donating 50% of the net proceeds of the new edition of the Slight Edge to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization.  You can check out the book on my Books Page.

The Slight Edge

Slight Edge from Jeff Olson

The Slight Edge is a way of thinking, a way of processing information that enables you to make the daily choices that will lead you to success and the happiness you desire. In the book you will learn why some can make dreams come true while others spend their hours building dreams for others.

You should think of the Slight Edge as the key to unlock all those other how-to and self help books.  If you put the concepts that Jeff talks about into practice you truly can create powerful results.

Well worth a read, I will leave you with one final though from Jeff , one of the most down to earth servant leaders I know.

The truth is, what you do matters. What you do today matters. What you do every day matters. Successful people just do the things that seem to make no difference in the act of doing them and they do them over and over and over until the compound effect kicks in. – Jeff Olson

  1. He sounds like a great guy. Re: “Happy people are more successful”: I wonder if it works the other way around as well. Are successful people more happy? Studies show that being rich doesn’t make you happier, so I guess it depends on your method of measuring success.

  3. Thank you so much for this, Andy – I’ve not come across The Slight Edge before but it sounds like a read that is right up my street!

I also very much appreciate the quote by Jeff Olson : “The truth is, what you do matters. What you do today matters. What you do every day matters. Successful people just do the things that seem to make no difference in the act of doing them and they do them over and over and over until the compound effect kicks in”.

That’s one to list in my business quotes book, thank you!
