Instagram Followers

You have decided to use Instagram to grow your business, you have created your account, now what?

You need to build your Instagram Followers and then manage them.

[youtube_sc url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUhil9A9IlY”]

There is an answer to help you grow your Instagram Followers.

There is an app call Crowdfire that allows you to grow your followers and manage them once you have them.

After all you don’t want a bunch of followers who don’t take any actions, never like or comment on your photos.

What can you do with Crowdfire?

You can use Crowdfire to help you manage your Instagram account to do the following:

  • Build your following by finding relevant users to follow using the “Copy Followers” feature.  This feature, is worth it in it’s own right.  If I can find people interested in the niche I want to market too then I have a much greater chance of success.
  • Manage your account by finding inactive users and your unfollowers.
  • Manage and monitor your recent followers and unfollowers.
  • Understand your relationship to another Instagram account using FriendCheck allows you to easily check your connection to any other Instagram user.

In this example I check my relationship with a good friend of mine Nicole Hanchi, not surprising we follow each other.

Do you know your Instagram Statistics?

Instagram Statistics Snapshot

Lies, damned lies, and Instagram statistics? The original quote was possibly associated with Mark Twain but nobody is really claiming it.  He didn’t know about Instagram of course.

Got your attention? If you are using social media you need to know how well your postings are working and Instagram is no different to any other platform.

Iconosquare for your Instagram Statistics

Native Instagram really does not provide you with the statistics you can use to see how well your posts are working.

But not to worry there is a product called Iconosquare that not only helps you manage your Instagram account but helps you see what is going on by delivering a whole host of Instagram Statistics.

Review of the Instagram Layout App

Instagram Layout App

I started using the Instagram Layout App recently and thought it was a great simple to use App.  It is great to build those collage style photos and allows you to do it in seconds.

Instagram Layout App

Below is how the App looks on your phone, well on an iPhone anyway.  I used my kids trip to the beach yesterday as the example for this post.

Instagram Layout App

To use the Instagram Layout App you simply select the photos you want to use or take new ones as the App has access to the camera as well.  You can put your collage together in seconds.

Instagram Layout App

I picked 4 from the trip to the beach.  Watch the video below you can see how easy it is to pick different formats and drag the pictures around.  Once you have the collage the way you want it to look you can still play around with the mirror and flipping functions that layout provides.

Over To you – What do you think of the Instagram Layout App

I short post but I hope you found value in it.

Let me know what you think?

Have you used the Instagram Layout App?  Or do you prefer one of the many other Apps out there?

Writing Getting Over the Fear

Writing Getting Over the Fear

Writing getting over the fear – that is most people’s problem when they start a blog or even contemplate starting a blog.

My Own Experience of Writing Getting Over the Fear

I myself am not a good writer by many standards, just past English at school and in my first job my minutes of meetings were described as “Terse”.

Important point is it never stop me!

I just keep putting pen to paper as they say and produce content, some good, some bad and alot where the grammar sucks!

To give you some inspiration regardless if you are new to blogging or a seasoned pro.

I’m not a writer

This is the first problem new bloggers confront themselves with.  Here is quote form Ernest Hemingway

It’s none of their business that you have to learn to write.

Let them think you were born that way

Next on the list is:

I Haven’t Written Since College or School

Again to give you some inspiration that school or college is not a requirement to be a good writer!  here is a quote from Flannery O’Connor

Everywhere I go I’m asked if I think the university stifles writers. My opinion is that they don’t stifle enough of them. There’s many a best-seller that could have been prevented by a good teacher

The next one I hear all the time regardless of if it has to do with writing or not.

I’m not good enough

Here is a quote from Neil Gaiman. easy eh? (click to tweet)

This is how you do it: You sit down at the keyboard and you put one word after another until it’s done. It’s that easy, and that hard

Writing takes me forever

Writing Getting Over the FearDoes writing take you forever? Or do you just need inspiration?  Here is some great advice from Stephen King (click to tweet)

If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all

others: Read a lot and write a lot.

The next one is a classic

I don’t have anything to say

You have value in being you!  Just be open, be you and put your thoughts to paper, or computer which ever is easiest!  Love this quote from J.D. Salinger

What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it.

I always get writers block

This is a hard one, but you don’t have to start with the novel.  Start with a few quotes, some ideas, even the basis of a story line?  Speaking of quotes, here is another Stephen King one for you. (click to tweet)

The scariest moment is always just before you start.

Words are hard for me

Me too, just start writing something anything.  It gets you started, after all you can always come back and change them, delete them or start over.  Even easier with a computer.  To some this up I will let William Faulkner speak

Get it down. Take chances. It may be bad, but it’s the only way you can do anything really good.

 Over To You

There is NO Plan B

There is No Plan B

I was recently talking to a friend about people having a Plan B.  You are always hearing about having your Plan B.  In fact I think every Network Marketing company talks about having a Plan B.

He pointed out something to me

There is NO Plan B

There is no Plan B if you expect to reach your potential and become an elite player, living an extraordinary life. Plan B is a Backup Plan putting you in perpetual Backup Mode.
You won’t push through the obstacles and challenges when you know you have a Backup Plan. You will never be “All In”, fully committed to The Plan. To fly at your potential altitude, you must scrap all references to Plan B.
Jim Gardner

This really bought something home to me, if you truly want to succeed you need to have your goal in mind and go for it.

Now your goal doesn’t have to be restricted to just one thing.  Your goals and hence your Plan is a mixture of personal and professional goals.

If you have a Plan B or what you are calling a Plan B, see how you can weave that Plan B into your Plan A and create your Master Plan.

Malcolm Gladwell said you need to spend 10,000 hours studying your trade to become an expert,  regardless of your chosen profession.  In his book he gives plenty of examples.  The point being if you are working on something as a “Plan B” and are focusing very little energy on it you will never become an expert.

Work from home opportunities are always sold as “Plan B” when really they are just another part of your Master Plan.  You can learn new skills, earn while you learn and as you become successful you can adapt your Master Plan and maybe your Work from Home Opportunity becomes your primary income.

The reason it is a Plan B is it is another source of income, ideally you don’t want to be dependent on one source of income, if that goes away you have a problem.  Having multiple sources of income is always a good idea, just like when you invest your money you spread it across different investments to reduce the risk of a problem if one investment goes bad.

If you are looking for a way to achieve Multiple Streams of Income as part of your Master Plan you should check out Networking Superstars.

How ever your Master Plan unfolds remember to make sure it is balanced between your work and personal life.  Make sure you spend enough time with the others who are important in your life, your spouse, the kids, the extended family or the dog as examples.

I hope you have enjoyed this article, what are your thoughts on a Plan A v Plan B, leave me a comment.  If you enjoyed the article please share it on your Social Media channels.

Consistency is the Key

consitentcy is the key

You Always are Told Consistency is Key

You always hear you need to be consistent in what you do.

and you need to keep doing this activity everyday.

Raining MississippiI know some people don’t believe that, it can’t make that big a difference.

Well I can stand here in a raining Mississippi and say it absolutely does make a difference.

For various reasons which I won’t get into here I haven’t written a blog article for a few months and my site has dropped in rankings from being ranked in the US in the top 60,000 websites to now in the Millions!

Now who says activity doesn’t count?

This is of course one little example, but if you create follows or fans and you only communicate with them once in a while what will happen.

They may not even know you are there anymore or worse and more likely they are not going to follow you.

Consistency is the Key

consistency-is-key

So why aren’t people consistent?

Can be many reasons and excuses, lack of organization, procrastination, that To-Do-List is to long, lack of time management, writers block, to busy.

I could go on and on but you need to take action on what ever is stopping you.

Create yourself a daily routine and stick to it.  If you are going to blog, post on social media allocate a time to write the articles and then use a publishing calendar to make sure everything goes out when it should do.

This will help drive consistency.  If you look at Ray Higdon, he publishes a Blog article everyday and has done for ages.  Come, rain, shine, events, travel he gets his message out there everyday.

It doesn’t need to be a long article, it can be video, audio on whatever you are happiest to use.

Which obviously leads to what do I want to say or write about?

What is your passion?  Write about that, just don’t use writers block as an excuse.  If you get into a daily routine that won’t be a problem.  As Jerry Seinfeld says

Writer’s block is a phony, made up, BS excuse for not doing your work.

Consistency is the Key to success, don’t find excuses.

Consistency in Social Media Activity

The same applies with Social Media, doesn’t matter what channels you are using if you don’t post regularly your account will become dead and eventually won’t get seen anybody.

Although social media can be fun it’s important to remember that you have to work social media if you want it to work for you.

Regardless if you are using Social Media for your business, your hobby or just sharing your musings it won’t get seen so get yourself into a routine and make sure you stick to it come rain or shine.  You will reap the reward.

Find that True Passion

If your motivation is purely the money it is probably not going to work.  You need to find that True Passion that will really motivate you.

motivation

When you find that passion it will allow you to produce and go that extra mile to get people enthused about what you do and become a fan.

Once someone is a fan you make them into a raving fan and they will follow what you do and be an advocate for you.

Then they will be coming to you which brings me back around to that whole attraction marketing concept.  Attracting people to you for who you are, how you help people and what you stand for.

Not for trying to sell them something or force something down their throat!

Consistency Leads to becoming a Master

If you are consistent every day, every week, every month you will become a master at your trade. Malcolm Gladwell in his book Outliers  talked about needing 10,000 hours to be an expert in your profession regardless of that profession.

By being consistent you will reach that goal and be that expert

So set yourself some meaningful goals, set yourself a schedule and publish content and create new connections every day and you will grow yourself and your brand.
